Sage is a perennial semi-bushy plant with a height of 30 to 60 cm. It has a strong root and a woody stem. The lower parts of the stem are woody and the upper parts are herbaceous. The stem is erect and angular. The leaves are narrow, elliptical, finely wrinkled, with a long peduncle. Sage loves the sun and does not thrive in shady areas. It does not tolerate frosts and extremely low temperatures. This evergreen plant, which is used as a spice, also has healing properties.
