The sowing period depends on the purpose of dill. If grown for the production of essential oil or seeds, sowing is done in early March. If it is grown for seasoning, sowing can be done from mid-March to mid-May, as well as in summer from mid-July to mid-August. Sowing is carried out in pits 1–1.5 cm deep, with row spacing 12–24 cm and seed-sharing 24–36 cm between seeds
